Phil Doherty co-founded the Warriors Basketball Club with Ken Nelson over 16 years ago. Phil was also a pioneer of year-round youth basketball in Northern California when he co-founded, with Chris Whirlow, MVP Flight and the legendary Flight Elite Basketball program in 1997. The roots of Warriors Basketball Club are strong in the Bay Area and, over the years, Warriors Basketball has earned a reputation as a premier youth basketball club with an elite coaching staff.  Most recently, the Warriors Basketball Club has expanded into girls youth basketball on top of its long running boys youth program.

Today Warriors Basketball Club has top-level teams and promotes fast play and decision making on the court. We play an intensely team oriented basketball where the ball moves with energy to the open player. We hold our athletes accountable but encourage a growth mindset where they aren’t afraid to make mistakes, can take intelligent risks and grow as players. Most importantly, relationships matter in our program where our coaches and teammates invest the time in each other and bring out everyone’s best.
