Frequently Asked Questions

Get quick answers to the most common questions about our program, tournaments, pricing, and player experience.

1. Are your programs year-round or seasonal?

We run seasonal teams throughout the year—Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Players can join for one season at a time or participate in multiple seasons depending on their schedule!

2. Do your teams compete against other clubs? Where are games played?

Yes! Warriors teams compete in weekend tournaments against other Club and AAU-level programs. Most tournaments are held in the Bay Area, including cities like Walnut Creek, Concord, Lamorinda cities, and others nearby.

3. How are teams formed?

Teams are created based on grade and skill level. After evaluations, players are placed on teams that provide the right level of challenge and development for them.

4. How much does a season cost, and how long does it last?

Season fees typically start around $895, depending on season length and competition level. Each season runs about 8–10 weeks, and exact dates are shared before registration opens.

5. Is Warriors an AAU program?

We are a Club program that plays in AAU-sanctioned tournaments. Our focus is on development, team culture, and competition—giving players the tools to grow both on and off the court.

6. Do you cut players after evaluations?

No. We do not make cuts. Every player is placed on a team that matches their current level, allowing them to learn, grow, and compete.

7. What if a player misses practice?

We understand life gets busy. Players should communicate with their coach if they’ll miss practice. While consistent attendance is important, occasional absences are okay.

8. What’s your refund policy?

Once teams are formed and the season begins, we do not offer refunds. In special circumstances (such as injury or a major scheduling conflict), credits may be offered toward a future season.

9. Can players attend evaluations before registering?

Yes! Players can attend evaluations without committing to the season. It’s a great way to experience our program before signing up.

10. What’s included in the season fee?

Your registration typically includes:

  • Two team practices per week

  • Tournament entry fees

  • Experienced coaching

  • A uniform or team gear package (varies by season)
Any extra costs, such as travel, will be communicated in advance.

11. How much of a time commitment is it?

Most teams practice twice per week and play in weekend tournaments. Tournaments may be one or two days long. We provide schedules early to help families plan ahead.
